Call for Awards Nominations

We are delighted to announce the launch of the first edition of the “Ideas 4 Automation Awards” to be celebrated at the upcoming event “Automation Instrumentation Summit”, that will be held on July 5-6, 2017 at Castello Belgioioso, Italy.


The participation to the award is open to all the students (undergraduates of any degree and Ph.D. candidates) who want to share which is their “Idea for Automation”.Students won’t be asked to realize their Ideas, but just how an Idea could be eventually realized.Each Idea has to be inspired by at least one of the themes of the conference.

Important dates:

-May 15th, h: 23.59 Deadline for Ideas delivering

-June 12th Acceptance Ideas

-July 5th-6th Conference Meeting and Awards

The submission to the competition needs

-The attached form filled with the personal information, contacts and details on the school/university.

-A brief (max 2 pages) but detailed written description of the “Idea for Automation”. The description must contain the details of the Idea, the main steps for its realization, the conditions for the success, and the non-economic support for the realization of the Idea (which knowledge and position is required for the realization).

-As an alternative to the written description, a brief video (max 2 minutes) where the candidate explains the Idea, and a bulleted list with the main features of the work.


The awards will be given in recognition of the 3 best Ideas for automation:

First place: money prize of 1500,00€ + subscription to the AIS-ISA events 2017

Second place: money prize of 1000,00€+ subscription to the AIS-ISA events 2017

Third place: money prize of 500,00 €+ subscription to the AIS-ISA events 2017

The ceremony will take place at the July 5-6 meeting.

A first selection among all the participating Ideas will be done before the conference. All the students of the accepted Ideas will have the chance to attend the conference for free. The prizes will be given only to students who attend the conference.The presented ideas will be judged by the scientific committee of the conference.
